Meet Ryan
Ryan Lawrence PT, CSCS, CAFS
A Central Coast native, Ryan’s life and careers have taken him across the country and around the globe. Originally a professional ballet dancer with a BFA from the Juilliard School, his passion for movement began when he was 7.
Following a dance career that culminated in the Netherlands, where he lived for 8 years, he studied to become a physiotherapist at the International University of Professional Education in Physiotherapy “Thim van der Laan,” where he graduated in 2011. A wife and 3 children later, he returned to his roots in California where he has held numerous positions in the health and fitness industry, including National Team Trainer and video presenter for group fitness content provider Mossa, and Fitness Director and Post-Rehabilitation specialist. Most Recently he was a staff physical therapist at San Luis Sports Therapy in Morro Bay where he enjoyed working with a diverse population helping children, adults, and seniors restore movement to their lives.
However, already a business owner, Ryan felt a need to expand his services and create his own space where his vision of movement, health, and wellbeing could flourish. Hence was begun the Movement Arts Clinic.
Housed within the Movement Arts Center, Ryan and his wife's place for dance and movement, the clinic now allows the center to fulfill its mission of providing a space for joy and movement for people of all ages and abilities
